Organic Savings!

Thursday, January 24, 2008

Crystal has a fabulous article over at Biblical Womanhood about ways to save on organic groceries. This inspired me to post on one of my favorite inexpensive organic sources. Publix, my favorite grocery store, has a generic 'store brand' of organic products under the name of Greenwise! They have everything from canned vegetables, paper towels, milk, eggs, and meats! These can be very inexpensive... not as inexpensive as non-organic, of course, but very reasonable for organic products! For example, a can of organic green beans is $0.99. Every few months, Publix will run sales on their Greenwise items and I stock up on these things at that time. I have twelve cans of organic corn that I bought on sale at Publix for $0.50 each! A great deal!!

For more information on Greenwise products, see Publix's website.
Also, last week I wrote a related article on saving money on organic produce.
To see Crystal's informative article on this subject, be sure to visit Frugal Friday over at Biblical Womanhood!

I've never heard of Greenwise but it sounds like a wonderful brand!! I will definitely look and see if it might be available in some of our grocery stores! Thanks for the ideas.

We don't have Publix out here, but I wish we did! We loved it last Spring when we were vacationing in Florida.
