It's party time!

It's time for The Ultimate Blog Party!! All the great mom bloggers are gathering in one place for a week long event. It's time to meet some new bloggers and find some really terrific new friends! Be sure to hop on over to 5 Minutes for Mom and join the fun!!

Let me introduce myself for all my new visitors. I am Lady Why, the mother of a very lively and fun-filled family! Mr. P is my dearest sweetheart and has been for 21 years and counting. Mr. P's bloggy moniker is short for Mr. Potato Head. There is a very good reason for that... you'll need to come over to our house sometime and take a tour of our Potato Head room to understand completely. In the meantime, you can see a touch of the obsession collection of Mr. P at his Mr. Potato Head website.

Mr. P and I have six delightful children so far! Flibby and Poppy are joyful young ladies. They have a blog or two of their own. Our noble oldest son is our family comedian. Then we have the fearless Hannah Banana and the smallest Who in Whoville, Cindy Lou Who. Last but certainly not least is the newest addition to our family... the one I like to call Chubby Cheeks. For obvious reasons!

All this fun and frivolity wouldn't be complete without mentioning the two furry divas Maddie and Ella and the lumbering wonders, Shelby and Coosa. We don't want to forget the best mouser this east of the Mississippi, Rolo.

There you go! That's everyone!

Now lets' see... my favorite party food recipe (and I must add the disclaimer that this it not a health food by any stretch of the imagination) is:

Spinach Dip with Hawaiian Bread

INGREDIENTS
1 cup mayonnaise
1 (16 ounce) container sour cream
1 (1.8 ounce) package dry leek soup mix
1 (4 ounce) can water chestnuts, drained and chopped
1/2 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 (1 pound) loaf round Hawaiian bread

DIRECTIONS
In a medium bowl, mix together mayonnaise, sour cream, dry leek soup mix, water chestnuts and chopped spinach. Chill in the refrigerator 6 hours, or overnight.

Remove top and interior of Hawaiian bread. Fill with mayonnaise mixture. Tear removed bread chunks into pieces for dipping.

Let the party begin!

Well I would say its nice to 'meet' you but I've been reading your blog for a long time..even back when it was another name (can't remember the other blog name, though).

I do love to visit your blog and do so almost daily. You have a beautiful family.

You may not remember, but you've given me homeschool advice. Thanks. It did help me.

Well, if you get the chance, stop over and 'meet' me on my blog.
