Last Wednesday I featured my favorite ever shampoo and I received a few comments asking me how it compared to Burt's Bees shampoos. I had to admit that I've never tried Burt's Bees shampoos so I couldn't offer an opinion. I do, however, love anything and everything I have tried of their product line. So, this week, I'm going to tell you about one of my favorite Burt's Bees products which we use here in the Kudzu household on a daily basis!
Burt's Bees Insect Repellent! It's good stuff, my friends. Good stuff!
Again, I have tried several natural insect repellents with mixed results. We love our citronella candles and use them all the time. They are great when we are sitting still on our deck surrounded by a ring of citronella fire. But, when we venture out into the garden, or anywhere outside the ring of fire, we get eaten alive! I have used Aubrey's Gone! for years and it works very well but I detest the smell of it! It's a really bad smell. And, as I said last week, who wants to walk around smelling funny?
Then one day into my life walked Burt's Bees Insect Repellent. Bliss! Pure bliss! It has the most lovely light scent and it comes between me and ten billion hungry mosquitoes every time I walk out the door, for which I am so very thankful. It lasts for hours and I actually forget I have on bug spray when I'm wearing it. That has never happened before with any other bug spray!
You can't find Burt's Bees Insect Repellent just anywhere. Drug stores and grocery stores that carry other Burt's Bees products do not generally have the bug spray. I found mine at a local health food store or you can order it online. If you live in the deep south where mosquitoes are the size of Chihuahuas, you need to get you some Burt's Bees. Pronto!
Burt's Bees most definitely works for us!

Thank you! I so need to find a good bug spray as me and my kiddos are getting eaten alive every time we walk out the door. I will try this one out ASAP!
I love my Aubreys and I love my Burts Bees too. I have yet to try the bug repellent but will be picking it up!
Truly thank you for this post. We live in the swamp and the mosquitoes are the size of our fists. Seriously, they could steal our food.
While at the drive in last weekend someone sprayed some insect repellent that smelled so wonderfully citrusy... I've been trying to figure out what THAT was, too, but haven't been able to yet. Usually the stuff smells so terrible. Thanks!
I love Burt's Bees products and had no idea that they made a bug spray. I am off to order some. Thanks for the tip.
I love Burt's Bees products and I'm thrilled they're found just about everywhere now. I remember when I first discovered the, they were hard to find.
Haven't tried the repellent. Will do!
yes, I love this stuff and you can usually get a good deal on it on ebay....
Wow, I didn't know that they made insect repellent. I'll have to look for it...these bugs are eating us alive!

I love all of Burts Bees products. The bug spray really does work.
I will have to try that. I am tired of being eaten alive or smelling like stinky bug spray.
You have great timing! Finding a good, nontoxic bug spray was on my list of things to do this week. Thanks!
I will have to keep my eye out for this! Thanks for the head's up.
Great to know as we are going camping soon!
I didn't even know they made bug repellant. Thank you, I need a safe alternative that works, for my boys!
Great tip! I really don't like to put Deet on kids. So this is great - thanks!
Thanks for the tip! I've been looking for a natural insect repellant. I'll be picking up some of this.
