10) It's quiet.
9) There are lots of books and I think we all know that I have a sick obsession healthy love of books.
8) It is climate controlled so while there is rain and cold in the harsh elements outdoors, I am warm and dry inside.
7) Internet access that doesn't involve stopping every ten minutes to answer the phone, change a diaper, break up a dispute over the last strawberry yogurt, listen to an explanation of who did what chore and how fast it was done, chase two mangy white mutts out of the neighbors' azaleas, and/or carpool some child to some activity somewhere.
6) It's quiet.
5) I can read any book I want to on any subject I want to and I don't have to read any book that I don't want to.
4) There is a coffee shop.
3) People in libraries do not run, scream or say "Mama!" (nor do they have dirty diapers)
2) My librarians know me and they know what I like and they tell me ahead of time when a new book is coming that they know I will want and they hold it for me. I 'heart' librarians!
1) Did I mention that it's quiet? More quiet than I ever experience in a day? Or a week? Or a month? Or a lifetime?
I 'heart' the library. Now back to my regularly scheduled basking in quietness and bookishness.

There's a coffee shop at your library!? Now that is interesting. I can hear our librarian now, "No food or drink in the library! That includes gum!"
Oh, yes! It's a wonderful coffee/snack shop like what you might find in a Books-A-Million or Barnes and Noble. The wafting scent of coffee is sooooo relaxing. And, I'm not a coffee drinker. But, I just love that smell!

Which Library?
I heart the library too. Some of my faves lately are oven drying (I am thinking of buying this one!), root cellaring. I am also taking the list of recommended books from TNFARMGIRL and putting them on hold. I picked up 3 of them yesterday on gardening. I have more boxes to build but it is raining.......
I love the library too. My hubby bought me my first card last year for my birthday. My last rental was "Deep In The Heart of Trouble"-christian romance, and "Sense & Sensibility"

I love the library for it's quiet too, it's very hard sometimes to find a quiet place to be without any distractions, something that the library provides.
