Do you have plans for the 4th?

Tuesday, June 30, 2009

I do! I plan to take my family over to my mom's house, rock on her porch in her new Adirondack rockers, eat grilled barbeque chicken and roasted vegetables, watch the baby play in the baby pool while the big kids slide down her yard on the Slip 'N Slide, watch the sunset, light sparklers and top the night off with a big slice of chilled watermelon.

I love summertime!

Yep! Leaving tonight for Seattle, WA for TWO family reunions. One is the first one in my mom's family in 25 years and we have been planning it for 2 years! We will have 130 people there!! It will be one jam-packed, BUSY week, but looking forward to it. I am NOT looking forward to coming back to the sauna here and the jet-lag that will kick my behind when I get back though :/

Canada Day is tomorrow!
Provided it doesn't rain, we plan to bike ride, play at the park and eat hamburgers and milkshakes. I may take a bitty boy to watch fireworks later.

Do you watch any fireworks??!!!! You must on the 4th!!! :)

My family usually goes and watches fireworks but the baby and I skip that. This will be my third year to bow out of fireworks. The first year I was 9 months pregnant and being outside in lawn chairs in the heat and mosquitos just somehow didn't hold the same appeal as in years past! Ha!

Took your sidebar test.
Got 65%. Not bad for someone from another country. Who has no interest in citizenship.

Not bad at all, Happygeek! I guarantee you I would not do as well on a Canadian test.

Let me know how you do!!!
For the record, I scored 100, which I should, I taught Social studies and am a Canadian History buff. Plus, the questions are very very easy.
You should hit 50 without any problem:)
