That girl who had the quads was flown by the government down to Montanna, she didn't have to go herself.
University of Alberta Hospital is routinely making breakthroughs in Diabetes, cancer and cardiovascular research.
Yes, there are waiting lists, and problems but that was an incredibly one-sided piece of journalism.
Incredibly. They didn't talk about all the people who die because they cannot afford the treatments, or the fact that severe cases do jump to the head of the line for MRI's and the like.

I've got to agree with you. Government run health care scares the heck out of me!

I'll give you that the piece was anti-government health care but when I got a taste of our version of government health care (Medicaid patients at our Children's Hospital a few months back) I really want no part of it. I'm not saying our system is perfect... no system is perfect. But, do I want Obama controlling my health care? NO WAY!! I am SHOCKED at how many people think that IF (please no Lord!) his bill passes the grass will always be green, babies will never get sick and everyone will have perfect access to perfect heatlh care. In fact, I'm in an argument right now on a liberal blog (very pro-Obamacare) discussing this very thing.

And, might I just say that it's a good thing there was Montana for the government to turn to with that mother. Once Obama destroys our health care system (yes, I'm being dramatic :-D) where will the Canadian government fly the next mother?

I'm just sayin'

Current main stream media is very biased and one sided, which is governed by the political party that the owner of the media company belongs to. But, for the most part, we understand that there are usually an equal number of pros and cons to everything, and the media tends to report on the "exceptions" to the rule. WHy? because its news if its an exception rather than a rule. That's what sells, and makes a profit and keeps the media in business.

But isn't that the whole point? Profits keep people and companies in business? Isn't that capitalism? something we enjoy such much in America, the pursuit of happiness, and the freedom to make a profit?

They are right about profit driving innovation and inventions. Profit is just as much the mother of invention as desperation, or starvation.

I have to disagree with the lady in the video that says they sneak it through [congress] slow. The two tactics I see are sneak it through quietly and not brought to the public eye, or push it through as fast as possible before anyone has a chance to say no or say "wait, lets look at this a little harder".

I am sure you have heard about all the things the democrats and President B.O. got done and pushed through congress in his first 100 days. Spending more tax dollars than all previous presidents in office before him "combined" in just 100 days. Pushing the bail out bill through, rescuing business "too big to fail" (which apparently they were failing no matter how big they got), saving the housing industry, etc.

My biggest gripe is, what health care system are the gov,t talking about? There is no system, just a lot of privately owned health care providers AND the gov't owned and operated medicare/medicaid "system" which is tanking.

Is that what they are trying to "overhaul"? or is it what B.O. said this last week, "we are just offering a new choice, a government program to compete with private industry and offer a new choice to Americans for health care".

So much double talk and BS it's sad. Every few days, there is a new way to say it, and new language and new phraseology, and new double talk.

It's all run by fear mongering. "We need to get this done", "We need to reform [something]", "We need to change [something] or my campaign speech will have been nothing but a cheap cliche". Ha sorry..that ad lib is really what it's all about. He just started early on his own legacy for his only term in office as president.

I have more words for him on my blogs :)

Love your blog Lady :)

Rocket, you are a breath of fresh air! There are times when I think I'm the only one that hasn't drunk the Obama Kool-Aid. Thank you for your comment and I LOVE your blog too!
