Cloudy. A 50 percent chance of snow after midnight. Lows around 30.
This is the forecast for Saturday. I think I may diiiiiie!
If you need me on Saturday, you can find me by the fire, rocking back and forth, repeating, "Only 105 days until spring, only 105 days until spring, only 105 days until spring..."

We are waiting on our third blizzard of the season.
It's been a good year thus far. Very mild.
This next week could change that as our highs next week are -20 C which translates out to -4.
That's the HIGH.
We won't speak of the windchill or the lows. Some things are just too evil to be spoken out loud.
I feel your pain Lady Why, I really do.
I knew my friend was an all out weather wimp, but COME ON!! It is NOT that bad and I think we are in for a LOOOONG,cold,WET,hard winter...thanks to a LONG WET summer/fall. Get used to it girl. It will be fun. The hardest part is if you have to go to the grocery store with the milk/bread/eggs freaks. Luckily you raise your eggs and make your bread ;)
I rebuke that evil prophesy, Beth!! Don't you know what it does to a winter wimp to fortell long, cold, hard, wet winters?? I'm heading to Guam with Mary Jane! :-D
As for the eggs... one has to venture out of doors to collect the aforementioned eggs. Also, my fall garden is destined to freeze. Who in their right mind would GO OUTSIDE to tend a garden in this weather. I ask you!
It's only December. WAAAHHHHH!
Happygeek, I weep for you. Your constitution is most certainly stronger than mine as evidenced by the fact you've lived to tell of such horrors. Me? I'd succumb to the harsh conditions in less than a week. Really, I would.
It may be helpful to imagine this weather as it will appear in retrospect. If conditions are like this in December, we may be longing for this weather in January!
I know that such optimism is difficult to maintain, but it is very comforting. *wink*
You might be able to save your garden, cover the plants before the freeze with old sheets and pull them off after you've had sun for an hour or so. If the thought of going out tonight is too cold to bear, have a big strong hubby do it for you.
You're welcome Mr. P.
This is what we do up here to keep our tomatoes on the vine long enough to ripen. We usually get our killing frosts come September but doing this on frost nights keeps them on the vine till early October.
I'm right there with you counting down. Anything below 60 is winter. lol Take Care :)
You're right, Sherlock. Your level of optimism is difficult to maintain. :-D
Happygeek, we did cover the plants... and I use the term "we" VERY loosely. Right, Mr. P.
Last night it got below 0. And the windchill was -5!
